EcoSutra', a documentary film about permaculture and cutting edge renewable energy technologies, world premieres this Saturday, June 28th, at The Palace Theater in Syracuse,NY. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is a sliding scale donation from $0-$10 for the showing and unique networking event which follows. Local 'green' leaders present their work and opportunities to move Central New York in a sustainable direction, following the film.
Producer, Russell Berns, the son of legendary songwriter Bert Berns introduces the film. Area native and singer-songwriter Rebecca Keefe Fitzsimmons performs. The Palace provides a cash bar throughout the night.
'EcoSutra' introduces permaculture, or permanent-agriculture, as a food landscape design science, which looks to mimic natural patterns for increased stability and food quality. It's focus is resource management and a creating systems that harmonizes with the forces of nature. It's principles can be applied to industrial scale energy, or right in your own backyard.
